Do you pay particular attention to news stories about people missing in the wilderness and think, “I wish I could help”?

If you love aviation and have a passion for adventure and helping people, we need you. We are always looking for volunteers to offer their time, skills, ideas and energy. Front line SAR volunteers are called upon to quickly locate and assist in a variety of situations where trained quick response air search capacity is required; or in support and administration roles.

On any given day, you could be:

• Searching for a lost hiker or hunter
• Searching for a child who has fallen through ice
• Searching lakes or rivers for stranded boaters
• Spotting on a Canadian Forces Search and Rescue flight

When you become a member of CASARA, you join more than 1,500 volunteers nationwide.

We train our volunteers to professional standards and members are certified by CASARA.
